Men's Soccer Stunned by SUNY Cobleskill

COBLESKILL, NY – The SUNYIT men's soccer team was stunned by SUNY Cobleskill Saturday, falling 1-0 and suffering its first conference loss of the season while Cobleskill picked up its first NEAC win of the year.  The loss dropped the Wildcats to 6-1 in the NEAC and 9-4 overall, while Cobleskill improved to 1-5-1 in the NEAC and 4-8-1 overall.

SUNYIT suffered the loss despite outshooting Cobleskill 17-7 on the day.  After a scoreless first half, Cobleskill freshman Brandon Cooper sent a corner kick to teammate Joe Giuliano, who found the back of the net at 52:39 for what proved to be the game-winning goal.

Freshman goalie Malick Faye (Bronx, NY/MLK) made two saves for SUNYIT, while Mark Curran stopped five shots in the win for Cobleskill.
