CAZENOVIA, NY - The SUNY Poly Wildcats took down the Cazenovia on Saturday 16-1 in North Atlantic Conference (NAC) play. The Wildcats dominated right from the jump, scoring 15 unanswered goals. The Wildcats are now 6-3 this season with a 4-0 record in NAC play.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
SUNY Poly dominated the game from the start, taking a six-point lead in the first quarter with goals from Payton Thomas, Lyle Beeman, Luke Taylor, Andrew Maycock, and Griffin LaFleur. In the second quarter, SUNY Poly continued to pour it on, increasing their lead to 12-0 with six more goals from Lyle Beeman, Andrew Maycock, Luke Taylor, Jared Harter, and Griffin LaFleur.
In the third quarter, SUNY Poly added three more goals from Liam Podszebka, Griffin LaFleur, and Andrew Maycock. Cazenovia scored their only goal of the game with an unassisted goal by Nate Parker, bringing the score to 15-1 at the end of the quarter. SUNY Poly's Jared Harter added one more goal in the fourth quarter to seal the 16-1 victory.
NOTABLE PERFORMANCES:
- Griffin LaFleur led the Wildcats with four goals.
- Andrew Maycock and Payton Thomas each had five points on two goals and three assists.
- Lyle Beman had a pair of goals and a pair of assists.
