MLAX: Guido Wins it for the Wildcats in Overtime.

MARCY, N.Y. - Saturday's game was one for the ages between the Wildcats and the SUNY Delhi Broncos. A clutch six-point performance by Brody Guido (North Syracuse, N.Y.) which included a game-winning goal in overtime drove the Wildcats to the win, but it was anything but smooth sailing for the now 2-0 'Cats.

The Wildcats took an early lead with three unanswered goals to open up the game. It looked like it would be a dominant performance early, but then the wheels fell off. Delhi scored four goals to close out the first half and scored the only two goals of the third quarter to take a 6-3 lead into the fourth quarter. The Wildcats were in scramble mode, trying to find a spark on the offensive side of the field. Luckily the Wildcats answered the bell in the form of a 5-2 run to close out regulation, forcing a decisive overtime period. The game-winning, walk-off goal would come under a minute into overtime when Brody Guido found a seam on the right side, drove towards the goal, and buried his shot bottom left to win the game.
