Wildcats Shoot 353 at Hamilton Invitational

CLINTON, NY – The SUNYIT men's golf team shot a 353 and finished in 11th place out of 12 teams at the Hamilton Invitational, which was held at the par-72 Skenandoa Club in Clinton, NY on Tuesday.

Senior Ryan Darling (Jordan, NY/Jordan-Elbridge) shot a team-best 85 for SUNYIT, while classmate James Willey (Middleville, NY/Mohawk Valley CC) finished a shot behind him with an 86.  Senior Chris Pace (Cortland, NY/Cortland) and sophomore Jeremy Gillen (Lowville, NY/Lowville) both carded a 93 to round out the Wildcats.

Hamilton College finished with a score of 306 to win the event for the second straight year.  Keystone College and SUNY Delhi both finished with a score of 309 to tie for second, while Rensselaer (317) and SUNY Oswego (323) rounded out the top five team finishes.

The Wildcats will be back in action on Friday when they host local rival Utica College at the Hidden Valley Golf Course.  Tee time is scheduled for 11:00 am.
