Individual Medalist Chris Pace Leads Wildcats to a Second Place Finish at Keuka Fall Invitational

Penn Yan, NY – SUNYIT sophomore Chris Pace (Cortland, NY/Cortland) carded a 38 to claim individual medalist honors at the Keuka College Fall Invitational, which was shortened to nine holes due to rain.  The Wildcats recorded a team total of 169 to claim second at the event, which was held at the Par-72, 6,533 yard Lakeside Country Club yesterday.

 

Senior Caleb Gordon (Wolcott, NY/Cayuga County CC) finished in a three-way tie for second place individually out of 32 golfers with a score of 39, while fellow classmate Rich Hickel (New Hartford, NY/Mohawk Valley CC) shot a 43.  Junior Adam O'Brien (Skaneateles, NY/Cayuga County) shot a 49 on the day, while fellow classmate James Willey (Middleville, NY/Mohawk Valley CC) shot a 50 to round out the Wildcats.

 Elmira College won the event with a team score of 160.  Baptist Bible College came in third behind SUNYIT with a team total of 171, with SUNY Cobleskill "A" team (177) and the Cobleskill "B" team (198) rounded out the top five.

 

The Wildcats were back in action today at the Cobleskill Invitational.  As of this writing, results are not yet available.
