Wildcats Fall to Keuka In A Back-and-Forth Game

Keuka Park, N.Y. - The SUNYIT Wildcats lost a heart breaker to Keuka in their first of two conference road games. The final score was 68-64 in favor of the Keuka Storm. It was anyone's game right down to the final ticks of the game clock.

 

For Keuka, sophomores Jared Wegner and Tyler Hixon led the way with 15 points apiece. Wegner, the 6'0"  guard from Pittsford, N.Y. also had 2 steals, 4 rebounds, and an assist.

 

Despite the career high scoring performance from junior Desmian Greer (Washington Heights, NY / Chesire Acadamy), the Wildcats were unable to regain the lead after Keuka took it away  with only 8 minutes left in regulation. Greer ended his hot shooting day with  32 points on 12-18 shooting from the field, 4 rebounds and an assist on the day.

 

The loss by SUNYIT brings their record to (5-12, 3-4 NEAC) and puts Keuka at (8-9, 6-3 NEAC) The Wildcats travel to Wells College for game two of their two game road trip on Sunday. Game time isn Aurora is set for 2:00 pm.
