Golembiowski Earns Second Selection to D3Hoops.com Team of the Week

UTICA, NY – SUNYIT senior David Golembiowski (Barneveld, NY/Holland Patent) has been selected to the D3Hoops.com Team of the Week for the second time this season.  The honor marks the sixth overall Player of the Week award that the 6-foot-7 forward has earned this season, as he has also won three NEAC Student-Athlete of the Week wards and two ECAC Player of the Week awards.

Golembiowski had an outstanding finish to the regular season, helping the Wildcats to two conference victories last week.  He opened the week by shining on the team's Senior Night, registering a game-high 29 points and a season-high five assists to go along with eight rebounds and five blocks in an 84-71 victory over Morrisville State Wednesday.  He then followed that up with game highs of 26 points, 10 rebounds and two blocks in a convincing 90-59 win over Cazenovia Saturday to close out the regular season.

Golembiowski is currently seventh in the nation in points per game (24.5), while being 13th in double-doubles (14), 14th in rebounds per game (11.4) and 28th in blocks per game (2.4).  He also leads the team in points, rebounds, blocks and 3-pointers made.
