GOLF: Career Low Scores by Lynch, Falk, and Perricelli Help Wildcats Finish Their Fall Season With a Sixth Place Finish In NAC Championship.

WATERVILLE, Maine - The SUNY Poly golf team finished sixth on Sunday in the 2022 North Atlantic Conference Championship Tournament. The two-day event saw the Wildcats climb the leaderboard on day two to gain a spot from seventh to sixth in the team standings. Husson University won the Event with a team score of 590. Their top finisher Jack King won the individual title with a combined score of 142. The Wildcats were led individually by Eric Perricelli who shot a 79 on day two to finish his weekend with a combined score of 162. 

After finishing day one with a 342 team score, the Wildcats posted a trio of sub-80 scores to pass the host, Maine Maritime for sixth place. James Lynch and Isaac Falk shot 78 and Eric Perricelli shot a 79. Falk's 78 tied his season-best score from earlier this season at SUNY Delhi. Lynch's 78 beat his previous best score, a 79 at Cobleskill. Perricelli's 79 was also a season-best. All three players recorded the scores without a birdie. The Wildcat's only birdie as a team in the round was by William Grady on the par-3 16th hole. 

Luke Handerhan and William Grady rounded out the scoring for the Wildcats. Handerhan shot a 95 (+25) and Grady shot a 101 (+31)

SUNY Poly's 330 team score was the best score that the team has posted on a single day of competition all season.
