GOLF: Wildcats Beaten By Utica University in Mid-week Match.

UTICA, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly golf team lost to Utica on Thursday by 20 strokes in a midweek head-to-head match at the Yahnundasis Golf Club. The Wildcat's top finisher in the match was Eric Perricelli who recorded a 12 over 83 to place 4th. The event was won by Utica's Jose Santos who shot a 78 on the par 71 course.  

 

Utica scored a 343 to win the event. SUNY Poly scored 363.  

 

The Wildcats entered seven golfers into the event. Eric Perricelli, the Wildcat's top finisher was entered as an individual so his score did not factor into the team result. Perricelli's round featured eight pars, eight bogeys and just two doubles.  

 

The Wildcat's top team finisher in the round was Luke Hanehan who shot a solid 88 to place 7th. James Lynch shot 19 over and placed 8th. Isaac Falk placed T-9th with a 92.  

 

William Pruess recorded the lone birdie on the day for the Wildcats. His birdie came on hole #1.

The Wildcats will head to SUNY Canton on Tuesday, September 20th to take part in the SUNY Canton Invitational.
