SB: Wildcats Push Past the Terriers, Win Game 1 in the NAC Tournament.

Bangor, ME - The SUNY Poly women's softball team took care of business against the Thomas Terriers in game one of the NAC tournament. Star pitcher, Trinity Critelli, led the way on the mound, only allowing one hit and striking out 11 over seven innings. At the plate, the wildcats were carried by Alivia Turk and Kimberly Birmingham who both drove in three runs. SUNY Poly would win the game by a score of 6-0.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

The first two innings went by quickly, with neither team driving in any runs. That changed in the bottom of the third inning when a homerun from Kimberly Birmingham put the Wildcats on top by three runs.

Conference triples leader, Alivia Turk would pick up her first RBI of the game in the bottom of the 4th, slapping a single to right field to score Kaitlyn Findlay from second base.

After a quiet inning from both teams in the 5th, Turk would add two more for the Wildcats, powering a  2-run home run to center field.

With a commanding 6-0 lead, Critelli would close it out in the top of the 7th, securing a 6-0 win for the Wildcats.
