MBB: Wildcats Drop Game to York.

YORK, Pa. -  The SUNY Poly men's basketball lost to York (Pa.) on Saturday 76-60. The Spartans were led by a 23-point performance from Kai Cipalla, who also finished with 15 rebounds to record a double-double. Josh Ernst led the way for the Wildcats, finishing with 12 points. With the loss, the Wildcats move to 5-5 on the season.

 

HOW IT HAPPENED: The Spartans were efficient in the first half to jump out to a 40-33 lead at halftime. They would shoot 51% from the floor in the first half, while also connecting on five three-pointers on 35% shooting from behind the arc. Cheickne Toure, Anthony Rose, and LJ Randle would all score 7 points apiece in the first half for the Wildcats. Randle would also grab 8 rebounds in the first half.

Kai Cipalla would lead all scorers in the second half with 13 points, including going 5-6 from the free-throw line. Josh Ernst and Brandon Holmes would both have 6 points apiece for the Wildcats in the second half to lead the scoring. Holmes would connect from three-point range for the Wildcats only second-half three-pointer.
