CC: Wildcats Compete at the 2017 Hamilton Invitational.

MARCY, N.Y. – The SUNY Poly Cross Country team traveled to Hamilton College on Saturday for the Hamilton Invitation. The men's team placed 4th and the women's teams place 5th in the race. The men were 5th out of 13 teams with 120 points and the women were 5th out of nine teams with 172 points.

 

Men's Race

Freshman, Noah Valvo (Town of Wright, N.Y.) led the way for the Wildcats, finishing 22nd overall with a time of 28:07. Ian Kurzrock (Woodbound, N.Y.) finished close behind with a time of 28:28 in 29th place. Jonathon Miller (Oneonta, N.Y.) finished 30th with a time of 28:33.

 

Women's Race

Senior, Rebecca LaPorte (New Hartford, N.Y.) finished 39th with a time of 21:39. Kiersten Albertson (Kirkville, N.Y.) finished with a time of 22:02 in 41stth place. Jalize Mejia-Perez (Bronx, N.Y.) placed 51st with a time of 23:21.

 

The Wildcats will travel back to Hamilton to race in the Hamilton Short Course Invitation on October 21st. The meet is scheduled to start at 11:00 AM.
