WVB: Wildcats Drop Two at NEAC Crossover Event.

MARCY, N.Y. – The SUNY Poly Women's Volleyball team traveled to SUNY Cobleskill for two matches on Saturday. The Wildcats fell to conferences foes Gallaudet (25-22, 12-25, 14-25, 17-25) and Lancaster Bible (25-18, 25-16, 25-11) to move to 2-2 in NEAC play and 4-10 overall.

MATCH 1:

The Wildcats opened with a first set victory over rival Gallaudet. Unfortunately for SUNY Poly, the trio of Karita Lewis, Adele Daniels, and Tessa Lewis was too much to handle, as they recorded 14, 13, and 12 kills respectively. Makayla Hulett (Colonie, N.Y.) led the Wildcats with seven kills to go along with 5 digs. Sydney Johnson (Nine Mile Falls, Wash.) recorded 24 assists and 14 digs for SUNY Poly.

MATCH 2:

The Wildcats did not fare any better in their second match of the day, as they fell to Lancaster Bible in straight sets. The Chargers of Lancaster Bible had 12 service aces, while the Wildcats recorded one service ace in the match. Brittany Adams (Clifton Park, N.Y.) had a match high 10 kills for SUNY Poly. Karlie King (Liverpool, N.Y.) added eight kills, 10 digs, and two solo blocks for the Wildcats.

UP NEXT:

The Wildcats return to action on Wednesday September 26th against NEAC rival Morrisville State. The Mustangs currently sit atop the NEAC with a conference record of 4-0, and an overall record of 10-3. The match is set to begin at 7:00pm in Morrisville.
