WSOC: Wildcats Beaten at Home by Utica College.

MARCY, N.Y. – The SUNY Poly women's soccer team hosted cross town rival Utica College on Thursday night at SUNY Poly's Wildcat Field. The game did not go SUNY Poly's way as they were shut out 4-0 in regulation. The Wildcats managed just three shots on goal in the game while Utica put 20 of 34 shots taken on goal. SUNY Poly is now 1-13-1 on the year.

 

NOTABLES:

  • Utica's Jenna Mazza had a hat trick in the game. She scored three goals on six shots.
  • SUNY Poly's Alysia Thomas (Greenville, N.Y.) had 16 saves in the game. She is now just two saves shy of 100 this season.
  • Mikayla Blumenstock scored the first goal of the game for Utica in the 9th minute.

 

UP NEXT:

The Wildcats will host a pair of North Eastern Athletic Conference games this weekend. The Wildcats will play Penn State Abington on Saturday and St. Elizabeth on Sunday. Both games are scheduled for a 12:00 PM start.
