MARCY, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly women's soccer team went into Saturday's game against Penn St. Abington hoping for their fourth NEAC win of the season. Unfortunately for the Wildcats, their day would not go quite as planned. The Cats' were beaten 2-0 on two goals by Emily Kennedy of Abington; one in each half of play.

The Wildcats offense just could not seem to get anything going in the game. They were only out shot by Abington 14-11, but the difference in shots on goal was 9-3 in favor of the Nitany Lions. Angela Bartlett (West Winfield, N.Y. / Mount Markham HS) made seven saves in goal, but the two that got by her were enough to secure the win for Penn State.

The loss brings the Wildcats to 5-3-2 (3-1-1 NEAC) on the season. The team will have a week to rest up and prepare for NEAC foe Cobleskill. The game will take place next Saturday at 2:00 at Wildcat Field. Live stats will be available for the game HERE.
