WSOC: Marconi Scores Both Goals For the Wildcats in a 2-2 Tie With Penn College.

WILLIAMSPORT Pa. - The SUNY Poly women's soccer team traveled to Williamsport  to take on the Wildcats of Penn College. Despite a breakout day from Wildcat midfielder Corrina Marconi (Rochester, N.Y. / Gates-Chili HS), the teams would ultimately play to a draw in two overtimes 2-2.

Sophomore midfielder Corrina Marconi had a breakout two goal game against Penn College. Her first goal came off an assist by Julia Jaikin (Dolgeville, N.Y. / Dolgeville HS) in the seventh minute. Her the second was an unassisted goal in the 55th minute. The goals were Marconi's first and second of the year.

Angela Bartlett (West Winfield, N.Y. / Mount Markham HS) registered eight saves on 10 shots to hold back the Penn College offense.

The tie brings the Wildcats record to 4-1-2 (2-0-1 NEAC). The women will travel to Morristown, New Jersey to take on the St. Elizabeth Soaring Eagles. The game is scheduled for a 1:00 start.
