WSOC: SUNY Poly Defeats Cazenovia 3-0 to Earn First NEAC Win of the Season;

CAZENOVIA, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly women's soccer team traveled to Cazenovia on Saturday to take on Cazenovia College in their first NEAC Conference game of the season. SUNY Poly dominated the matchup scoring three goals and holding Cazenovia scoreless. The 3-0 win by SUNY Poly brings their season record to 2-1-1 (1-0 NEAC).

The Wildcats first goal of the game came off the foot of freshman Nakeya Stedman (Sauquoit, N.Y. / Sauquoit HS) unassisted in the 25th minute. The goal marks her second of the year.

McKenna Hungerford (Morris, N.Y. / Morris HS) scored the second goal for SUNY Poly in the 35th minute of play. The unassisted goal in the 35th minute was her first of the season.

In the 85th minute the Wildcats added their third goal to the scoreboard when sophomore Brittany Waterbury (Remsen, N.Y. / Remsen HS) netted a shot off of a rebound. The goal was also her first of the season.

Angela Bartlett (West Winfield, N.Y. / Mount Markham HS) had a solid performance in goal. She recorded her second shutout of the season, making five saves.

The Wildcats will be back in action on Sunday when they host the Morrisville State Mustangs in a NEAC Conference game. The game is scheduled to start at 2:00 PM at Wildcat Field.
