WLAX: Wildcats Celebrate Big Win on Senior Day

Marcy, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly Women's Lacrosse team (4-6, NEAC 2-4) come out on top in senior game versus Penn State Abington (1-9, NEAC 1-4). 

 

The Wildcats saw there game fall in their favor on Sunday afternoon. The Nittany Lions led the game early scoring three goals early in the game, but the Wildcats rallied back scoring seven goals to edn the first half. Senior Mari Ames ( Carthage, N.Y.) had five goals and three assists, finishing her senior game with eight points. The Wildcats took over the second half, finishing the game with an outcome of 18-6. 

STAT POINTS:

 

Kayla Prosinski (Endwell, N.Y.) scored eight goals for the Wildcats. 

Mari Ames finished with five goals, three assists and picked up two ground balls. With this, Ames brings her total career points to 246.

Jennifer Maxam (Clinton, N.Y.) had four goals for SUNY Poly.

Michaela Mast led the Nittany Lions with three goals.

•Goalkeeper Lindsey Detweiler finished with five saves for Penn State Abington.  

 

Up Next:

The Wildcats will travel to Sage College to take on the Gators in a non-conference matchup. The game is set for a 7:00 PM start.
