WLAX: Wildcats Come Up Short Against Wells College.

Aurora, N.Y. – The SUNY Poly women's lacrosse team (3-4, NEAC 1-2) fell short to Wells College Express (3-1) in their third conference game of the season.

 The Wildcats took control of the game early, scoring their first two goals in the first five minutes of the game. The Express followed close behind with their first goal, and the game took a steady pace with goals going back and forth between teams. The Express' offense came out strong in the second half, having the final score 13-11 in Wells' favor.

 

STAT POINTS:

  • Mari Ames (Carthage , N.Y.)  had a team high of five points with five goals during the match.
  • Adrianna Marcolin (Saratoga Springs, N.Y.) scored two goals for the Wildcats.
  • Jenny Maxam (Clinton, N.Y.) tallied two goals, three ground balls and one caused turnover.
  • Megan Will (Remsen, N.Y.) and Cassandra Campion (Ballston Spa, N.Y.) combined for 8 saves for the Wildcats.
  • Savanah Connors had a game high of seven goals for the Express.
  • Goalkeeper Anna Bozeat finished with 12 saves for Wells.

 

UP NEXT:

The Wildcats will host the Wolves of Keuka College on Sunday April 8th. The game is set for a 1:00 PM start.
