MARCY, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly Women's Lacrosse Team (8-1, 5-0 NEAC) continued their record-breaking season on Saturday afternoon as they picked up their first win over Keuka College (3-8, 1-4 NEAC) in program history. The Wildcats did so in convincing fashion, beating the Wolfpack 17-7.

Meghan Serota (Black River, N.Y. / Carthage HS), Krysta Beha (Marcy, N.Y. / Whitesboro HS), and Mari Ames (West Carthage, N.Y. / Carthage HS) recorded four goals apiece to keep SUNY Poly undefeated in the conference. Beha and Ames were also responsible for two assists each.

The Wildcats used 12 first half goals to pace their win. Already up 1-0, the home team put together a three-goal string in a span of 38 seconds with two of those goals coming from Serota. Four minutes later, SUNY Poly went on four-goal tear, this time eating up three minutes of clock. The Wildcats closed out the half with two man-down goals from Nicole DiPiazza (Colonie, N.Y. / Colonie HS) and Ames to hold the 12-3 advantage at the break.

Keuka was the first on the board in the second half, scoring 45 seconds in. The two teams would exchange goals for the next 20 minutes of the game until Keuka scored their final goal with 9:19 to play. With a 15-7 advantage, DiPiazza and Ames closed out the second half the same way they did the first. The duo combined once again to give SUNY Poly the 17-7 win.

DiPiazza finished with three goals and an assist. Defenders Tierney McGlynn (Watervliet, N.Y. / Watervliet HS) and Hope Cerasuolo (Johnstown, N.Y. / Johnstown HS) each added a goal to round out the scoring.

Erica Maisonet (Walkill, N.Y. / Walkill HS) anchored the defense with three ground balls and three caused turnovers. Beha had a game-high six ground balls while Serota controlled the draw circle with eight draw controls.

Megan Will (Remsen, N.Y. / Remsen HS) got the win in goal, turning away four shots for the Wildcats.

SUNY Poly returns to action tomorrow in a home matchup against Wells at noon.
