Women’s Lacrosse to Wear “Team Molly” Shirts During Warm-ups of April 27 Game

MARCY, N.Y. – The SUNYIT Women's Lacrosse Team will be donning "Team Molly" t-shirts during warm-ups of their April 27th game versus Keuka College. The Storm will also be wearing the shirts during their warm-ups.

"Team Molly" is a non-profit organization started by the Women's Lacrosse Head Coach of NEAC associate member school Medaille College, Karen Shaddock. Shaddock, who played college lacrosse at Buffalo State, started the organization along with a group of her former teammates in memory of their teammate, Molly Sefritz, who passed away on March 2nd, 2013 from a progressive tissue cancer called Ewing's Sarcoma.

A percentage of the proceeds from the t-shirts, which the SUNYIT and Keuka teams purchased, will go towards the study of rare cancers at the Roswell Park Cancer Institute.

The game, set to take place this Sunday, is also SUNYIT's final home game of the regular season, and is slated to begin at 1:00 pm.
