WBB: Wildcats Beaten By Cardinals in St John Fisher Tip-off Championship Game.

PITTSFORD, N.Y. – The SUNY Poly women's basketball team lost in the Championship game of the St. John Fisher Tip-off Tournament on Saturday. The game was close in the first quarter, but the Host Cardinals of St. John Fisher built a solid lead in the second and third quarters to earn the 75-63 win.

NOTABLES:

  • Kiersten Leos (Camden, N.Y.) had a game high 24 points in the game. The Junior went 8-15 from the field and knocked down a team high four three-pointers.
  • Molly Burdick (Vestal, N.Y.) had 11 points for the Wildcats on 4-9 from the field. She grabbed six rebounds, had two blocks, two steals, and an assist.
  • Taylor Aybar (Woodside, N.Y.), Sam Dayter (Cohoes, N.Y.), and Cassidy Albright (New York Mills, N.Y.) each had seven points in the game. Aybar had a game high nine rebounds and a team high three assists.
  • Olivia Baumann had a team high 21 points for St. John Fisher.
  • Erin Hulbert, Leah Koonmen, and Sydney Masna all had double digit point totals with 10, 13, and 12 points respectively.

The Wildcats will host their home opener on Saturday, November 24th. The game against local rival Hamilton College will tip-off at 2:00 PM at SUNY Poly's Campus Center Gym.
