WBB: Jackson Named to the D3hoops.com East All-Region Second Team.

MARCY, N.Y. - The 2017-18 D3hoops.com All-Region teams have been announced. SUNY Poly's Khristajiah Jackson (Levittown, Pa.) has been named a First Team All-Region Player in the East Region.

Players were nominated for these awards by the Sports Information Directors at the various schools. There were more than 680 players nominated nationwide. The ballot was then made available to SIDs, who voted for a predetermined number of players in their region. 

Players chosen to the D3hoops.com All-Region team are eligible for All-American selection. The men's All-American team will be announced at the end of this week, in conjunction with the Division III men's championships, and the women's will be announced in the week following the Division III women's semifinals.

This is the 17th year D3hoops.com has named an All-Region team and this year's All-America team will be the 21st annual All-Ameircan selections. The D3hoops.com All-American teams, along with those of the respective coaches' associations, are the only ones recognized in the NCAA record book.

Khristaijah Jackson was a force to be reckoned with in the paint this season. Jackson was third in the NEAC this season with 19.6 points per game in conference play and was third in the NEAC with a field goal percentage of 51 and had 7.9 rebounds per game. Jackson averaged 1.3 blocks and 1.7 steals per game. She finished up her two-year Wildcat career with 1058 points. She is the 7th player in program history to reach the milestone.
