WBB: Khristaijah Jackson Named NEAC Player of the Year, Leos Voted All-Conference Second-Team.

GANSEVOORT, N.Y. - The North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) women's basketball All-Conference and Individual awards have been officially announced. The Wildcats received one individual award and had two players voted to All-Conference Teams.

Wildcat senior Khristaijah Jackson (Levittown, Pa.) was named the NEAC Player of the Year and was a NEAC All-Conference First Team selection. The excerpt below is from the NEAC's press release.

"A senior forward for SUNY Poly, Khristaijah Jackson (Levittown, Pa.) has been selected as the NEAC Player of the Year. With 313 of her 496 points coming against league opponents, Jackson ranks third in the NEAC in points. She is also fourth in the conference with 19.1 points per game and eighth with 210 rebounds. Jackson has been one of the NEAC's top shooter all season, ranking second with a 51.3 field-goal percentage. Defensively, she has added 44 steals and 34 blocks in 26 games. Jackson has scored in double-figures in all but one game this season, including a season-high 33 points on Jan. 14. She has nine double-doubles on the year and recorded her 1,000th career point on Tuesday to become the seventh player in program history to reach the milestone."

Kiersten Leos (Camden, N.Y.) was voted to the NEAC All-Conference Second Team. The sophomore averaged 17.4 points per game, hitting 5.5 three-pointers per game. Leos also averaged two assists and just shy of two steals per game.
