WBB: Wildcats Improve to 10-1 in NEAC Play Witha 20 Point Win Over St. Elizabeth.

MARCY, N.Y. – The Wildcat women's basketball team (14-6, 10-1 NEAC) earned a 20-point win on Saturday over St. Elizabeth (7-12,5-6 NEAC). SUNY Poly simply overmatched the Eagles in the game, especially at the three-point line where the Wildcats knocked down 11 threes and the Eagles hit just three. The final score of the game was 77-57. 

Kiersten Leos (Camden, N.Y.) supplied the fire power from beyond the arc for the Wildcats knocking down a game high four threes. Leos scored a team high 19 points and had a game high four steals.

The Eagles kept Khristaijah Jackson (Levittown, Pa.) off the scoreboard in the first half. She bounced back in the second to score 15 points. Jackson also had six rebounds and two steals in the game.

Taylor Aybar (Woodside, N.Y.), Rylie Smith (St. Johnsville, N.Y.), and Shannon Harrison (Holland Patent, N.Y.) wrapped up the notable scorers for the Wildcats. Ayabr had nine points two steals, an assist, and three rebounds. Smith scored eight points and had five rebounds. Harrison scored eight and had five assists and five rebounds.

Deja Ingram had a solid game for St. Elizabeth. She scored a game high 26 points and a game high seven blocks. She is currently the blocks leader in NCAA Division III. Rakiyah Sellers scores 17 points and had a team high three steals.

The Wildcats will host the Gallaudet Bison tomorrow at SUNY Poly's Campus Center Gym. The game is scheduled for a 2:00 PM tip-off.
