WBB: Wildcats Bounce Back With a Double-Digit Win Over Cobleskill.

MARCY, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly women's basketball team () defeated North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) foe Cobleskill on Wednesday 67-54. The Wildcats shot 41 percent from the field and drained six three pointers in the game. The highlight of the game was the Wildcat defense, which forced 22 turnovers and recorded 10 steals.

Four Wildcats recorded a steal in the game. Taylor Aybar (Woodside, N.Y.) led the effort for the Wildcats with a game high four steals. Kiersten Leos (Camden, N.Y.) was a close second with three steals.

Kiersten Leos was the high scorer for the Wildcats. The sophomore scored 18 points, shooting 58 percent from the field and 50 percent from three-point land. Leos also had a block, an assist and three rebounds.

Paige Gallo (Ballston Spa, N.Y.) found her groove in the game, reaching a milestone with her season high 16 points. Gallo's ninth point in the game was her 500th career point. The senior shot 50 percent from the field and went a perfect seven for seven from the charity stripe. Gallo also racked up five assists and three rebounds in the game.

Khristaijah Jackson (Levittown, Pa.) recorded her seventh double-double of the season, scoring 14 points and grabbing 10 rebounds. She also had a block, two steals, and an assist in the game. Jackson is currently third in the NEAC, scoring 20.1 points per game.

Taylor Aybar had a game high four steals, five assists, four rebounds, and eight points for the Wildcats in 27 minutes played. She shot 50 percent from the field.

Addy Lawson accounted for 41 percent of Cobleskill's scoring in the game. Lawson scored a game high 22 points. She also pulled in a team high seven rebounds and dished out two assists. Shaliyah Graham and Ali Changa had nine points each for Cobleskill.

The Wildcats will host a pair of NEAC games this weekend. On Saturday the Wildcats will take on St Elizabeth at 3:00 PM. On Sunday, Gallaudet comes to town for a 2:00 PM tip-off at the Campus Center Gym. SUNY Poly beat St. Elizabeth and Gallaudet last season. Both games will be streamed live on WildcatTV.
