WBB: Wildcats 6-0 in NEAC Play After 70-57 Win over Wells.

MARCY, N.Y. - The Wildcat women's basketball team (10-5) beat Wells 70-54 on Wednesday to improve to 6-0 in North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) play. The game was never in question for the Wildcats who jumped out to an early lead and did not look back. The lead grew as large as 19 in the fourth quarter.

Khristaijah Jackson (Levittown, Pa.) led the charge for the Wildcats. Jackson had a team high 17 points and a team high 10 rebounds for her sixth double-double of the season. Jackson also had a season high five steals in the game.

Kiersten Leos (Camden, N.Y.) had a game high four three-pointers in the game. She totaled 15 points, a rebound, a steal, and an assist.

Taylor Aybar (Woodside, N.Y.) and Rylie Smith (St. Johnsville, N.Y.) each had 13 points in the game. Aybar hit 3-3 from beyond the arc and had a team high four assists. Smith knocked down three of four from three-point range and had three rebounds.

As a team, SUNY Poly shot 46% from three-point range, tying their season high with 10 three-pointers made. The Wildcats also won the turnover battle with the Express 11-27.

The Majority of the Express's scoring came from Carley Ryan and Shelby Medovich who combined for 34 points. Ryan scored 22, had four assists, four rebounds, and three blocks. Medovich had 12 points, eight rebounds, three assists, a steal, and a block.

The Wildcats will be on the road at Keuka for their next game. Tip-off is scheduled for 3:00 PM on Saturday, January 20th in Keuka Park. This will be the second meeting between the teams this season. The Wildcats won the last game by a score of 67-61 at home.
