WBB: Wildcats Improve to 4-0 in NEAC Play With Win Over Bryn Athyn

BRYN ATHYN, PA. – The Wildcat women's basketball team (8-5, 4-0 NEAC) earned their fourth North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) win of the season on Saturday in blowout fashion over Bryn Athyn (4-10, 1-4NEAC). The Wildcats took the lead right off the bat, and grew it to as many as 28 points in the third quarter. The Wildcats closed the game with a 73-58 win.

Khristaijah Jackson (Levittown, Pa.) had a monster game for the Cats'. The senior recorded her fifth double-double of the season with a game leading 29 points and 12rebounds. Jackson shot 67% from the field and had two blocks, two steals, and two assists.

Kiersten Leos (Camden, N.Y.) also had a big game for the Wildcats. She scored 24 points and drained six of the seven three-pointers that she attempted. The six threes matched her career high. Leos also had a game high six steals, four assists, and four rebounds.

Rylie Smith (St. Johnsville, N.Y.) and Taylor Aybar (Woodside, N.Y.) rounded out the notable scorers with seven points each. Aybar had five steals, four assists, and two rebounds. Smith had a steal, a rebound, and an assist. 

As a team, The Wildcats shot just shy of 50% while Bryn Athyn shot just 29% from the field. The Wildcats knocked down eight three pointers in the game, and had a season high 19 steals. The Wildcats also tied their season high with 18 assists as a team.

The Wildcats will wrap-up their weekend trip to Pennsylvania with a game at Penn State Berks on Sunday. The game is scheduled for a 2:00 PM tip-off.
