MARCY, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly Wildcats finally got the opportunity to host a game at their home field after inclement weather and bad field conditions kept them off of their field for the last few weeks. The team hosted Cazenovia for a double header and took two from the Wildcats. The final scores of the games were 8-0 in game one and 3-2 in game two.

Fallon Reinold (Holland Patent, N.Y.) took the mound for SUNY Poly in game one. She threw an absolute gem on the mound and had a great day at the plate. On the mound Fallon threw a complete game one hit shutout. She mowed down ten batters and allowed just two walks. At the plate Fallon went 2-2 with a walk, an RBI, and three runs scored.

Abigail Coyne (Niskayuna, N.Y.) had a nice performance for the Wildcats in game one. She went 2-3 at the plate and had two RBIs. Danielle Witchley (New Hartford, N.Y.) also went 2-3 in the game with an RBI and two runs scored from the four hole. Taylor Hines (Mechanicsville, N.Y.) drove in two runs for the Wildcats. She went 1-3 in the game.

In game two the Wildcats went down 2-0 early to Cazenovia after a two run inning in the top of the second. Elizabeth Riegler (Boonville, N.Y.) started the game for the Wildcats and went three innings, allowing two runs and striking out five. Hannah Wasco (Rome, N.Y.) came into the game in the fourth and kept Caz off the board, allowing her team's offense to come through in the bottom of the fifth. The Wildcats put up a three spot in the bottom of the fifth frame on a Fallon Reinold RBI single up the middle and a Danielle Witchley two RBI single to right field to take the lead.  Wasco would shut down Cazenovia for the rest of the game to secure the 3-2 win for SUNY Poly.

The Wildcats improved to 9-11 with the two wins and are now 5-3 in NEAC play. They currently sit in second place in the NEAC North Division. The Wildcats will be playing each of the next four days, against Sage on Thursday, Keuka on Friday, and Cobleskill on Saturday and Sunday. Thursday's game is scheduled for a 3:30 first pitch at the Wildcat Softball Field.
