MARCY, N.Y. - The Wildcat men's volleyball team earned their second win of the 2017 season on Wednesday with a 3-0 win over the Sage College Gators (25-23, 25-17, 25-23).
The Wildcats played well as a team hitting .313 in the three set match on 83 swings. The Cats' also registered nine service aces and had six block assists and a solo block.
- Ryan Gloff (Brockport, N.Y.) had a game high 13 kills in the match. The sophomore hit .500 on 20 swings; his season high. Gloff also had a service ace in the match.
- Zach Goggin (Feeding Hills Mass.) had a solid three sets. He averaged 10 assists per set for a total of 30. Goggin also hit .600 on five swings, had a dig, a solo block, and a block assist.
- Max Szuba (Irondequoit, N.Y.) had a match high four service aces. Szuba also registered seven kills on 18 attempts.
- Sage's Bailey Cecchi had 13 kills in the match on 23 attempts (.435). He also had five digs and three block assists. Ryan Guyton had seven kills for the Gators. He also had a service ace, and three digs.
The Wildcats are now 2-3 on the season. The Wildcats will be traveling north to take on Southern Vermont University for their next match. The game is scheduled for Wednesday February 1st at 6:00 PM.
