ALBANY, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly men's soccer team played the Russell Sage Gators to a 0-0 draw on the road Wednesday night. The game was weighted one way offensively, with the Gators recording seven shots on goal to the Wildcats one, but solid goalkeeping and back line play earned the Wildcats their third tie of the season. Both teams are now 5-3-3 overall this season.
Ryan Primus had a notable performance for the Wildcats. The sophomore goalkeeper made seven saves in 90 minutes played. Tyler Brennan was the keeper of record for Sage. He needed to make just one save to earn the draw. The Wildcat's lone shot on goal in the game was from Wakeley Banker. As a team, the Wildcats took 10 total shots and had four corners.
UP NEXT:
The Wildcats will host Maine Farmington on Saturday, October 8th. The game is scheduled for a 12:00 PM kick-off at SUNY Poly's Wildcat Field. The last time the two teams met was in last year's NAC Championship Game where the Wildcats won on penalty kicks. The game will be streamed live on the SUNY Poly Sports Network (SPSN).
