MSOC: Wildcats Shut-out on the Road at Union.

SCHENECTADY, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly men's soccer team traveled to Union College on Wednesday to play a non-conference game against the Dutchmen. The game ended in a loss for the Wildcats, who were unable to score in the game. The final score was 2-0. The Wildcats are now 3-4-3 this season.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

The Dutchmen scored their first goal in the 20th minute when Poom Mera fed Salvador Lopez for a goal into the bottom right corner. Union struck again in the 48th minute on another Salvador Lopez goal to take the 2-0 lead.

NOTABLES:

  • The Wildcats put four shots on goal in the game.
  • Nathan Laughlin (Cohoes, N.Y.) was on the losing end of the decision, bringing his season record to 3-4-3. He made four saves in the game.
  • Salvador Lopez scored both goals for Union.
  • Jonathan Graziosi earned the win in goal for the Dutchman. He made four saves in his first win of the season.

UP NEXT:

The Wildcats will return home to host the Gallaudet University Bison on Saturday, October 6th in a North Eastern Athletic Conference match. The game is scheduled for a 2:00 PM start at SUNY Poly's Wildcat Field.
