MSOC: Wildcat's Beaten in Overtime by Penn College in First Conference Game of 2017.

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. - The SUNY Poly men's soccer team fell to Penn College 0-1 on Saturday in overtime. The game winning goal was scored by Penn College in the 97th minute, handing SUNY Poly their first loss in North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) play.

The game was well played defensively by both teams. SUNY Poly and Penn College combined for just seven shots on goal in nearly 98 minutes.

Alexander Gigliotti (Burnt Hills, N.Y.) was tagged with the loss in goal. He made three saves in the game bringing his season total to 23.

The Wildcats struggled to put shots on goal, landing just three of 12. Penn College did not fare much better, placing just four of 11 shots on goal.

The game winner for Penn College was scored by Austin Dowrick on a cross from Mike Gonzales.
