GANSEVOORT, N.Y. – The North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) has announced its 2018 Men’s Lacrosse All-Conference Team on Wednesday with 43 student-athletes receiving first, second and third team honors. Five Wildcats received All-Conference honors. Ryan Mead (Churchville, N.Y.), Daniel Rivie (Ossining, N.Y.), and Jared Laird (Ontario, N.Y.) were voted to the Second Team. Austin Rio (Cicero, N.Y.) and Tyler Schmitz (Eden, N.Y.) were named to the Third Team.
BUFFALO, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly men’s lacrosse team earned their ninth win of the season on Saturday in a 16-2 rout of Medaille. Nine different Wildcats scored points in the game and 14 of the Wildcats 16 goals were assisted.
MARCY, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly men’s lacrosse team took on Wells on Wednesday night in a North Eastern Athletic Conference matchup. The Wildcats took control of the game right off the bat taking a 4-1 lead in the first quarter. It was all smooth sailing from there with the Wildcats extending their lead and ultimately winning the game 11-5.
KEUKA PARK, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly Wildcats took on the Keuka College Wolves on Saturday in North Eastern Athletic Conference game at Keuka’s Jepson CAC. Unfortunately for the Wildcats, the early Keuka lead was too much to overcome as the Wildcats fell just a goal short. The final score was 8-7.
Marcy, N.Y. – The SUNY Poly men’s lacrosse team 7-1, (2-1 NEAC) earned a big win over the Fighting Tigers of SUNY Cobleskill on Saturday, earning their seventh win of the season to become the winningest team in the history of SUNY Poly men’s lacrosse. The final score of the game was 15-6.
EDEN, NY - The SUNY Poly Wildcats (6-1, 1-1 NEAC) were defeated by Hilbert (3-4, 1-1 NEAC) on Wednesday in a low scoring North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) game. The 5-4 loss was their first of the season.
MARCY, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly men’s lacrosse team (6-0, 1-0 NEAC) hosted SUNY Delhi (2-6) on Saturday in a non-conference game. The Wildcats entered the game with the hopes remaining undefeated and matching the best win total in program history, and did just that. The final score of the game was 11-6.
CAZENOVIA, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly men’s lacrosse team (5-0, 1-0 NEAC) continued their winning ways on Wednesday with a 13-7 win over North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) rival Cazenovia (1-4, 0-1 NEAC). The win gives the Wildcats a 5-0 record for the first time in program history and was the Wildcats first win over Cazenovia since 2013.
CANTON, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly men’s lacrosse team (4-0) earned a great win on the road over the SUNY Canton Kangaroos (5-2). While SUNY Poly was ahead for 50 minutes of the game, the Roos were never far off the Wildcats lead, which was three goals at its highest point. The final score of the game was 10-7.
HOUGHTON, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly men’s lacrosse team (3-0) traveled to Houghton on Wednesday for a mid-week non-conference game against the Highlanders (0-5). The Wildcats got out to an early 3-1 lead in the first half on three unassisted goals. The team continued to play hard on both ends, scoring 10 more goals in the final three quarters while holding Houghton to just four total goals. The final score was 13-4. The win helped the Wildcats match their win total from last season and gives them a 3-0 record for the first time in program history.
ALFRED, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly men’s lacrosse team improved to 2-0 on Sunday with a 14-8 win over Alfred State. The Wildcats got off to a hot start, taking an early lead in the first quarter. The Pioneers would try to mount a comeback, but the Wildcats would hold them at-bay to start a season 2-0 for the first time in program history.
PURCHASE, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly men’s lacrosse team earned their first win of the 2018 season in a thrilling overtime sudden death win on the road over SUNY Purchase (1-2).
MARCY, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly men's lacrosse fall ball season is in full swing. On Saturday October 14th the Wildcats will host two fall scrimmages. The first scrimmage will be held at 11am vs Herkimer County Community College followed by a scrimmage vs Jefferson Community College at 1pm. Both games will take place on the turf at the SUNY Poly athletic facility.
