Wildcats Fall at Home to Keuka

MARCY, N.Y. – The SUNY Poly Men's Lacrosse Team (1-6, 0-3 NEAC) fell to Keuka (3-2, 2-0 NEAC) at home on Saturday afternoon by a score of 18-6.

Keuka paced the game with six first quarter goals and seven third quarter goals. They opened the scoring with 12:27 to go in the first half and added another with 8:56 to play. Nicholas Levanti (Clayville, N.Y. / New Hartford) got the Wildcats on the board to cut the Wolfpack lead to 2-1. Keuka proceeded to go on a four goal run and never looked back.

Matt Beebe led the Wolfpack, recording a game-high 7 points on 3 goals and 4 assists.

The Wildcats were paced by Shane Joswick (New York Mills, N.Y. / MVCC) who recorded 3 points on a goal and 2 assists. Joseph Beyer (Long Beach, N.Y. / Holy Trinity) and Andrew Wurz (Utica, N.Y. / Notre Dame) contributed 2 points apiece. Wurz was also credited with a team-high 7 ground balls on the day.

RJ Ferrucci (Rome, N.Y. / Rome Free Acad.) got the decision in goal making 15 saves.

The Wildcats return to action on Wednesday in a home matchup against Mt. St. Vincent at 4:00.
