Two-In-A-Row: Men’s Lacrosse Stays Hot with 13-7 Win Over Canton

CANTON, N.Y. – The SUNYIT Men's Lacrosse Team (2-10, 1-4 NEAC) won its second game in a row on Saturday with a 13-7 victory over the Kangaroos of SUNY Canton. Tyler Serva (Chenango Forks, N.Y. / Chenango Forks) and Adam Reynolds (Johnson City, N.Y. / Johnson City) carried the offensive load for the Wildcats as each tallied 5 goals on the game.

The Wildcats held a 2-1 lead after the first quarter, then stretched it to a commanding 6-2 advantage at the half.

In the third period the Kangaroos showed some life, scoring four goals, but the Wildcat offense kept pace with 5 of their own, adding two more in the fourth for a comfortable 13-7 win.

In addition to Reynolds and Serva, SUNYIT attacker Jon Eguren (Vittoria, Spain / Cicero-North Syracuse), midfielder Shane Joswick (New York Mills, N.Y. / MVCC), and middie Nicholas Levanti (Clayville, N.Y. / New Hartford Sr High) each added single-goals. For the second-straight game Levanti had a good day distributing the ball, leading all players with 3 assists.

On the home side, attacker Tanner Pratt and midfielder Ryan Cardiff led the way with 2 goals apiece.

SUNYIT has just two regular season games remaining. They will head to Keuka next for a 4:00 pm matchup this Tuesday, April 22nd.
