MARCY, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly men's basketball team (19-7) won their NEAC quarterfinal game on Tuesday night 67-57 over the Keuka College Wolves (11-13). The Wildcats and the Wolves played a tight first half, with the Wildcats holding a one-point lead at the break. SUNY Poly would turn up the intensity, pushing their lead to a game high 13 points with nine minutes to go. Keuka did not go down easy, bringing the game back within four points with under a minute to go. Free-throws down the stretch sealed the win for the Wildcats who went six for six from the charity stripe in the last minute of the game.

Redell Freeman (Rochester, N.Y.) was an offensive force for the Wildcats. The junior scored a game high 16 points and had a game high seven assists. Freeman also had six assists and a steal in the game. He drained a game high three shots from beyond the arc.

Senior Kevin Williams (Brooklyn, N.Y.) recorded his 12th double-double of the season. He scored 11 points in 22 minutes and pulled down 10 boards. Williams also had two assists, three steals, and a block.

Tymeek Mackie (Rochester, N.Y.) gave the Wildcats a solid 28 minutes off the bench. The freshman had 13 points in the game, hitting three of seven from the field. Mackie went 6-6 from the free-throw line, including four late gamers to put the win in the bag.

Keuka's James Barnes led the Wolves with 15 points. Trevor Powell had nine point and a team high nine rebounds. Cliff Stevens and Dylan Doupe each scored 12 points. Doupe had seven rebounds and an assist. Stevens had four rebounds, two assists, and two steals.

The Wildcats shot 38.5 percent from the field in the game. The Wildcats defensive effort was their edge in the matchup. The Cats' had 12 steals and three blocks in the game, whereas Keuka had just four steals. Keuka had the edge in the rebounding category (37-33).

With the win, the Wildcats advance to the NEAC Final Four Tournament this weekend. The final two rounds will be hosted by Lancaster Bible on Saturday (2/24) and Sunday (2/25). The Wildcats are slotted to take on Morrisville State in the semifinal game which will tip-off at 4:00 PM at Lancaster Bible's Horst Athletic Center. A win will advance the Wildcats to the Championship game on Sunday at 2:00 PM.
