MBB: Wildcats Beaten by John Carroll in Hilbert Tip-off Championship Game. Gregory Named to the All-Tournament Team.

HAMBURG, N.Y. – The SUNY Poly Wildcats lost to the John Carroll University Blue Streak in the championship game of the Hilbert Tip-off Tournament. The final score of the game was 115-89.

Sophomore Josh Gregory (Whitesboro, N.Y.) was named to the All-Tournament Team after his 19 point championship game performance. Gregory had a total of 49 points, 16 rebounds, and six blocks in the tournaments two games.

Redell Freeman (Rochester, N.Y.) scored 16 in the game. The junior shot 55 percent from the field and drained one of two from three-point land.

Kevin Williams (Brooklyn, N.Y.) had another solid offensive game for the Cats'. The senior scored 14 points and had four rebounds.

Peyton Griffiths (Milford, N.Y.) played an efficient game for the Wildcats. Griffiths had 13 points and three rebounds. He shot 63 percent from the field.

Freshman Frank Reali (Staten Island, N.Y.) drained a team high two three pointers in the game. Reali scored 11 points in just eight minutes of play, going four of eight from the field.

John Carroll had six players score in the double digits. Matthew Csuhran led the Blue Streaks with 19 points. He hit three from beyond the arc.

The Wildcats will host local Rival Utica College at 5:00 PM on Tuesday, November 21st at SUNY Poly's Campus Center Gym. The Wildcats and the Pioneers have split their last two meetings. The Wildcats won the last meeting 63-58 early last season.
