MARCY, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly men's basketball defeated the Penn College Wildcats on Saturday 74-52. SUNY Poly shot extremely well in the game shooting 52 percent from the field and 57 percent from behind the three-point line.

The two Wildcat teams battled each other hard in the first half exchanging the lead nine times. SUNY Poly came out of the first half up five points. The team would build on that lead for the remainder of the game, hitting its high point of 24 points with 2:00 remaining in the game.

-Blake Haga (Rome, N.Y.) played a large factor in building the initial Wildcat lead. His 11 points in the first half energized the Wildcat offense. He hit three big three pointers in the half and had two steals. Blake had 14 points total in his 29 minutes of play.

-Terrynce Wilson (Bronx, N.Y.) had a game high 22 points. The senior shot 73 percent in the game and had six rebounds, two assists, and two blocks. His performance in the game marks his second consecutive 22-point game, both in NEAC play.

-Peyton Griffiths (Milford, N.Y.) had 11 points in the game. He also had three assists, a rebound, and a steal in the game.

-Joseph Ojo (Staten Island, N.Y.) distributed the ball well in the game. His seven assists led all players. It was nearly enough to surpass the team assists number put up by Penn College (8). Ojo scored five points, had a steal and two rebounds in the game.

-Penn College's Erik Eichinger and Carson Garvis each had 11 points in the game. Eichinger had a rebound and an assist. Garvis had three rebounds.

The Wildcats improve to 11-6 on the season and are now 8-2 in the NEAC. The team will be back in action on Sunday at 3:00 PM when they host St. Elizabeth in a NEAC game.
