Wildcats of the Week Gromilic and Brognano Mentioned in NEAC "Week's Highlights"

UTICA, N.Y. – Wildcats of the Week Lyndsey Brognano (Rome, N.Y. / Rome Free Academy) and Sejad Gromilic (Bosnia / Utica-Proctor) were mentioned in the NEAC Conference "Week's Highlights" section for their efforts last week in a combined three Wildcat wins.

On the ladies' side, the junior Brognano earned Wildcat of the Week honors for her incredible second half performance in a come-from-behind Wildcat victory over Old Westbury. Brognano poured in 23 of her game-high 27 points in the second half and overtime to lead SUNYIT over the Panthers 77-70. In two games on the weekend, Brognano averaged 25.8 points per game. This is her second Wildcat of the Week selection for the 2011-12 season.

For the men, the first-year point guard from Bosnia by-way-of Utica-Proctor High School exploded onto the NEAC basketball scene with 31 points at Utica on 12/6. Gromilic played all 40 minutes in a 102-98 win for the SUNYIT men (their first of the young season), and earns Wildcat of the Week honors for his efforts.
