Wildcats Fall to Hamilton 73-72

UTICA, NY - The SUNYIT men's basketball team lost to Hamilton College Saturday afternoon 73-72.  With the loss, the Wildcats now fall to 0-5 overall while the Continentals improve to 7-0.

Freshmen forward T'Andre Richardson (Utica, NY/Utica-Proctor) had 22 points on the afternoon with six rebounds and four assists.  Also contributing to the offense was Derek Rowe (Mexico, NY/Mexico Academy) who netted 11 points, had two assists and led the team in rebounds with nine. Junior guard Yhashin White (Brooklyn, NY/Canarsie) put 10 points on the board and led in assists with four.  He also had six rebounds and finished the night with three steals.

Leading the Continentals with 22 points, two assists and 10 rebounds was senior forward Patrick Sullivan (Madison, N.J./Delbarton School). Sophomore guard Greg Newton (Barrington, R.I./Phillips Exeter Academy) put up twelve points, six rebounds, five assists and had two steals while junior forward Eric Benvenuti (Concord, M.A./Concord Academy) contributed to the win with nine points, three rebounds and a steal.

The Wildcats take the short trip across town Tuesday December 6th as they take on the Pioneers of Utica College in another non-conference matchup. A 7:00 p.m. tip-off is scheduled in the Clark Athletic Center Gymnasium.
