AURORA, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly men’s baseball team opened up their 2024 season by going 2-1 in a three-game series against the Express. The Wildcats won the first two games on Saturday before dropping the series' final game on Sunday.
WATERVILLE, Maine - The North Atlantic Conference has announced the Baseball All-Conference Award winners for the 2023 season. The awards are nominated and voted on by the coaches of the NAC and consist of five individual awards, two All-Conference Teams for each division, and a nine-player Sportsmanship Team. The Wildcats had three players earn All-Conference Awards. Jack Montanye and Don Vento were both West All-Conference winners. Zackary Morrison was the Wildcats representative on the NAC Sportsmanship Team.
UTICA, N.Y. - SUNY Poly baseball team defeated Bryant & Stratton - Syracuse 6-1 in a non-conference matchup on Friday at Peter A. Spina Field. The Wildcat's big fourth inning led to the win. The Wildcats held a ceremony after the game to honor their eight graduating seniors; Alexander Bonacci, Zach Byrum, Michael Johnson, James Lynch, Zackary Morrison, Carter Romansky, Manuel Santiago, and Raymond Strauser.

The Wildcats held Utica scoreless for six innings, but in the final three innings, they pushed across five runs to earn their 23rd win of the year. SUNY Poly is now 10-24 this season with three games left to play.

The Wildcats got great pitching, great defensive play, and timely hitting to earn the two wins. The wins give the Wildcats a 2-1 advantage in the five-game series. SUNY Poly improved to 9-18 with a 2-6 record in NAC play.

The softball doubleheader at Saint Lawerence has been postponed. A makeup date has not yet been announced. The Wildcats won the first game 13-12 after a slugfest that saw the two teams combine for seven home runs. Maritime won the second game 10-3 in a rain-shortened six-inning game. The Wildcats are now 6-10 this season.
ONEONTA, N.Y. – The SUNY Poly baseball team lost to Oneonta on Wednesday in a close game that ended in walk-off fashion for the Red Dragons. The Wildcat's pitching was solid in the game and the offense generated three runs on seven hits. Poly led from the fourth inning to the ninth inning, but a bases-loaded, two RBI base hit with two outs in the ninth gave Oneonta their ninth win of the season. The Wildcats are now 4-8 this season.

DAVENPORT, Fla. - The SUNY Poly baseball team split with Keuka on Friday on their last day of the 2023 RussMatt Invitational Tournament. It was an exciting two games between the two upstate NY teams. The Wildcats won the first game 4-3 in walk-off fashion in extra innings. Keuka won the second game, taking a late lead in the bottom of the sixth. The Wildcats are now 4-7 this season.
AUBURNDALE, Fla. - The SUNY Poly baseball team took two from the UMPI Owls on Thursday afternoon at the RussMatt Invitational Tournament. The Wildcats won game one 8-0 thanks to some late-game offensive surges. They scored four runs in the sixth and four runs in the seventh. Poly carried the momentum into the second game of the doubleheader, winning game two 8-0 as well. Two Wildcats homered in the second game to help their team improve to 3-6 on the year.

After two scoreless innings, SUNY Poly took a 2-0 lead in the bottom of the second. However, Emerson scored four runs in the fifth inning to take a lead and eight runs in the top of the ninth to put the game away. The Wildcats are now 1-5 this season.

The Wildcats split the two games with the Beavers winning the first 10-5 and losing the second 15-4. The Wildcats are now 1-5 this season.

LAKELAND, Fla. - The SUNY Poly baseball team opened up their annual spring trip to the RussMatt Baseball Tournament on Saturday with a 12-2 loss to the Russell Sage College Gators. The Wildcats took an early lead and held it through three and a half innings, but a big fourth inning lit a fire under the Gator offense who scored 12 unanswered runs to earn their fourth win of the season. The Wildcats are now 0-3 this season. The Gators improved to 4-7.

MARCY, N.Y. - SUNY Poly Athletics is pleased to announce the hiring of Paul Ludden as Head Baseball Coach for the Wildcats. Ludden comes to SUNY Poly from Cazenovia College where he was the Head Baseball Coach for three seasons. In his role at SUNY Poly, Paul will also serve as the Assistant for Sports Communications. Paul is the fourth Head Baseball Coach in the history of SUNY Poly.
WATERVILLE, Maine - SUNY Poly student-athletes had a great showing this year on the North Atlantic Conference’s (NAC 2021-22 Winter/Spring All-Academic Team. 31 Wildcats were featured on the list, a list that contains the best of the best student-athletes academically from NAC’s 12 member institutions.
