ANNANDALE-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. - The Wildcats traveled to Bard College to take on the Raptors in their first double header up north. The Wildcat offense sputtered in the two game series scoring just one run and garnering just eight hits in 14 innings of baseball. The final scores were 4-1 in game one and 3-0 in game two.

Jared Muraca (Deerfield, N.Y.) took the hill for the Wildcats in game one. He allowed four runs in six innings of work. He recorded two strikeouts in the game, but allowed four free passes to the Raptor hitters. Dante Rose (Utica, N.Y.) scored the lone run for the Wildcats after reaching on a single and scoring on an error by the Bard third baseman. The Wildcat defense played solid in the game making no errors behind Muraca.

Steve Marotta threw a complete game for Bard allowing four hits, one unearned run, and no walks. Designated hitter Chris Blake went 2-2 in the game with a triple, a single, and a walk. He was the only batter to have a multiple hit game for either team.

Game two was a mirror image of game one for the Wildcats. Again, the team managed just four hits, only this time they did not put up a run. Ryan Kelly (Williston Park, N.Y.) took the hill for the Wildcats in game two. He allowed three runs over 5.2 innings and struck out three. Dante Rose went 2-3 at the plate with two singles.

Again, the Raptors got a great pitching performance from their starter. John Wendt went six innings allowing just two hits and striking out four. Adam Carafotes went 2-2 with a double in the game and scored two of Bards three runs.

The Wildcats are now 5-8 this season. The team will look to rebound from their current three game skid next weekend when they take their annual four game trip to New York City. They will face St. Josephs (Brkln) on Friday and CCNY on Saturday. Live stats will be available for the St. Josephs game HERE.
