Sam Quinn-Loeb (Hamburg, N.Y.) has been selected as the NEAC West Baseball Student-Athlete of the Week for his strong play for the SUNY Institute of Technology Wildcats.  The senior led the Wildcats to a 3-1 week, which included three conference victories, by batting .385 (5-for-13) at the plate with five RBI, three runs scored and two walks drawn while registering a .529 on base percentage.  After registering in a RBI in a non-conference loss to SUNY Cortland Tuesday, Quinn-Loeb caught fire with a .500 batting average (5-for-10) in conference play over the weekend.  He would drive in two runs and score two more in a sweep over Gallaudet University Saturday before registering a walk-off base hit with two outs in the bottom of the seventh inning to give SUNYIT a 6-5 win over Penn State Harrisburg yesterday, where he finished 3-for-4 with two RBI and one run scored.

Patrick Baker (Ronkonkoma, N.Y.) has been named the NEAC West Baseball Pitching Student-Athlete of the Week for his solid effort on the mound for the SUNY Institute of Technology Wildcats.  Baker, a senior, pitched a seven-inning complete game against Gallaudet University Saturday, giving up three runs on six hits while striking out five batters to help the Wildcats pick up the 6-3 victory.  Baker is now 2-2 on the year and has registered 21 strikeouts, which is currently the fifth-most in the NEAC.
