Kevin Edick enters his twenty-fourth and final season as the head baseball coach at SUNY Poly. Edick started the program prior to the 1993 season. Edick, who was promoted to Associate Athletic Director in December of 2012, served for many years prior as an assistant athletics director, and has had a hand in multiple sports during his time on campus including stints as the head coach for men’s soccer, women’s basketball, softball, golf, bowling and intramurals.

Edick has won over 200 games while leading the SUNY Poly baseball program, which included a program-best 22-win season in 2011. That same year the squad won the North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) Regular Season Championship, and boasted a pitching staff with the 3rd lowest team E.R.A. in the nation.

During the 2011 season, Edick was named the NEAC Coach of the Year, his second such award after previously winning in 2009 during the school’s first year in the conference. It was the fourth time overall Edick earned such an award during his coaching career, as he was also named the SUNYAC Coach of the Year during the 1997 season and earned that same honor while coaching women’s basketball during the 1995-96 season.

The team sent three players to the all-conference rolls last year, and has featured a minimum of three all-conference selections every year since joining the NEAC. The team's most recent season also saw two players earn All-Region honors, and the team itself made a captivating run to the finals of the NEAC Tournament before falling in the championship game.

Prior to his coaching career, Edick was a star baseball player at North Adams State College, where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology. He then went on to receive a Master of Business Administration degree from Wagner College.

Edick, an active outdoorsman, currently resides in Utica.
